Greenpower Middle East proudly announced the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, established with the mission of putting the energy, infrastructure, housing, and transport sectors on a sustainable, progressive path to achieve the aspirations of the government and enhance the UAE’s competitiveness across these key sectors, as a strategic partner for the Middle Eastern Greenpower Season Two Final.
Greenpower has successfully inspired young people to pursue science and engineering through the design, build, and race challenge of an electric car. Following a successful first season in the UAE, the programme continues to build on its outstanding track record.
Now, with the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure being the force behind including more STEM extra curricular learning activities in schools, together, Greenpower ME will help encourage and nurture the right team work, problem solving and management skills needed to be able to produce the brightest engineers of tomorrow from the UAE.
The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure branding will be featured on the cars taking part in the Middle East finals event, visits from His Excellency at select schools, attendance of MOEI members at the final event and other touch points.
Ryan Trutch, Founder, Greenpower Middle East:
“We are thrilled to welcome the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure as a strategic partner for the Greenpower Middle East Season Two Final. Their commitment to sustainability and STEM education aligns perfectly with our mission to inspire the next generation of engineers and innovators. His Excellency Eng Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs, said:
“Empowering the next generations of innovators and sustainability champions is our priority. The Greenpower Programme is a shining example of initiatives that help empower youngsters to become part of the solution to global challenges. We encourage more schools to take part in the Programme and open the door for their students to embrace innovative thinking. We are confident the Race Finals will be full of excitement and wish all competitors the best of luck.”
